Welcome to Astro Engine. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Service Description

Astro Engine is an astrological calculation and analysis platform. We provide natal chart generation, transit detection, synastry analysis, predictive techniques, horoscope generation, and related astrological tools through a web interface and developer API.

Early Access: Astro Engine is currently in Early Access. This means the platform is actively under development. Features may be added, changed, or temporarily unavailable as we improve the service. By using Astro Engine during Early Access, you acknowledge that you may encounter occasional bugs, incomplete features, or service interruptions. We appreciate your patience and feedback as we work to deliver the best possible experience. 2. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate registration information
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 if in the European Economic Area) to create an account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Subscription Plans, Billing & Auto-Renewal

Astro Engine offers Free, Pro ($9/month), and Premium ($29/month) subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

Auto-Renewal Disclosure (California SB-313 Compliance): All paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle at the then-current rate unless you cancel before the renewal date. All subscriptions begin billing immediately upon signup. You may cancel at any time from your account dashboard at astro-engine.com/dashboard. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features through the end of your current billing period.

Refund Policy: No refunds are provided for subscription fees. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features through the end of your current billing period.

Digital Products (PDF Reports): One-time purchases of digital products, including birth chart reports, compatibility reports, and year-ahead forecasts, are non-refundable once generated and delivered. Because these are personalized digital goods computed on demand using your specific birth data, they cannot be returned or resold. If you experience a technical issue preventing delivery, please contact us at astroengineweb@gmail.com and we will re-deliver or resolve the issue promptly.

• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• Digital PDF reports are non-refundable once generated
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' advance notice

4. API Usage

Pro and Premium subscribers may access the Astro Engine API through API keys. Usage is subject to rate limits based on your subscription tier. You agree not to:

• Share your API keys with unauthorized parties
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls
• Use the API to build a competing service
• Resell API access without written permission

5. Intellectual Property & User Content

The Astro Engine software, design, and content are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your birth data and chart configurations. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive license to use the service for personal or authorized commercial purposes.

By submitting birth data, chart configurations, or other content to Astro Engine, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display that data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Astro Engine service. We will not sell, publish, or otherwise distribute your personal content to third parties except as necessary to deliver the service (e.g., processing calculations on our servers).

6. Disclaimers

Astrology is provided for entertainment, personal reflection, and educational purposes only. Astro Engine does not provide professional advice of any kind. Specifically, Astro Engine does not provide financial, investment, medical, psychological, legal, or relationship advice. Astrological interpretations and outputs are generated by automated calculations and should not be used as a substitute for professional consultation with qualified practitioners in any field.

We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any astrological calculations, interpretations, horoscopes, compatibility analyses, or predictions generated by the service. Users acknowledge that astrology is not a scientifically validated method of prediction and that any decisions made based on astrological content are made at the user's own risk and discretion.

Free Will and Personal Responsibility: Every individual has free will. Astrological interpretations describe tendencies and patterns, not certainties. Every relationship is shaped by the choices of the people in it, not by planetary positions alone. Compatibility scores reflect geometric angles between natal planetary positions and are a framework for reflection, not a judgment of any relationship's worth or potential. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for the decisions you make, regardless of any astrological content you may read on this platform.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, accuracy of astrological calculations, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Astro Engine and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination:

• Your right to access the service ceases immediately
• You may request export of your data within 30 days
• We may delete your account data after a reasonable retention period

9. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use Astro Engine to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
• Transmit malware, viruses, or any code of a destructive nature
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, other user accounts, or networks connected to the service
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the service beyond the provided API within your rate limits
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
• Use the service to harass, abuse, stalk, or threaten other users
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service
• Use the service to generate, store, or distribute content that is unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or objectionable

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of this Acceptable Use Policy.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Astro Engine, its operators, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any content you submit through the service.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Subject to the arbitration provision below, any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

12. Dispute Resolution, Arbitration & Class Action Waiver

Binding Arbitration: Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of the service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules and Procedures. The arbitration shall take place in Los Angeles County, California, or at your election, may be conducted remotely via videoconference. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Class Action Waiver: YOU AND ASTRO ENGINE AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. Unless both you and Astro Engine agree otherwise, the arbitrator may not consolidate or join more than one person's or party's claims and may not otherwise preside over any form of a consolidated, representative, or class proceeding.

Exceptions: Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement or misappropriation of intellectual property rights. Claims within the jurisdiction of a small claims court may also be brought in such court.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the service. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
