How to Identify Your Decan
This decan covers 20° up to but not including 30° of Taurus.
Use your Sun's tropical sign and degree to identify its decan. Calendar dates are approximate; your birthday alone may not settle a boundary placement. If your birth time is unknown, a representative position near a boundary may leave your decan uncertain.
This collection uses modern triplicity: sub-rulers follow the signs of the same element. Other systems, including Chaldean decans, assign different rulers. The descriptions below are interpretive traditions, not measured personality traits. Compare the decan methods at Astrodienst.
Saturn's co-rulership transforms Taurus's love of comfort into serious ambition. Third decan Taurus natives are the builders and empire-makers of the sign. They combine Taurus's patient endurance with Capricorn's strategic discipline, creating individuals who play the long game masterfully. They may start slow, but they finish strong — often achieving remarkable success in the second half of life.
How This Decan Differs
Third decan Taurus is the most ambitious and disciplined of the three decans. Saturn adds a gravity and work ethic that Venus alone does not supply. These are not just pleasure-seekers — they are legacy-builders who want their material achievements to stand the test of time.
